Pearson Sound

Pearson Sound is the London-based project of David Kennedy, who operates under multiple aliases including Ramadanman and Maurice Donovan. Kennedy is one of the three founders of Hessle Audio, the influential UK label that has shaped the underground electronic music scene since its establishment. He began releasing music under the Pearson Sound moniker in 2015, while also maintaining his own imprint under the same name.

Kennedy produces electronic music that spans breakbeat, UK bass, leftfield house, and techno, drawing from his background in dubstep and IDM. His releases on Hessle Audio and his own Pearson Sound label showcase a versatile approach that moves between broken rhythms and club-focused tracks. The project represents a continuation of his work as Ramadanman, with tracks that maintain the percussive complexity and bass weight characteristic of UK underground dance music. His output demonstrates consistent activity across both aliases, with releases extending through 2025.
