Philippe Petit

Philippe Petit is a Belgian-born, France-based producer and DJ who began his musical career in 1983 as a radio DJ and journalist. Born in Brussels in 1968, he later moved to France where he studied electroacoustic music at the CNRR Conservatory of Marseille. Petit ran the BiP_HOp and Pandemonium Records labels while also operating the Kinetic Vibes fanzine and record label. He began releasing electronic music under his own name in 2014, accumulating 19 releases across various labels.

Petit produces peak time driving techno alongside raw, deep, and hypnotic techno variants, with occasional forays into deep house. His releases appear on respected labels including Rekids, Involve Records, Figure SPC, and Knotweed Records. His techno output spans both harder peak time material suitable for main room sets and deeper, more hypnotic tracks that work in extended DJ sets. The diversity in his catalog reflects his decades of experience in electronic music, moving from his earlier electroacoustic background into contemporary club-focused productions that maintain both dancefloor functionality and experimental edge.
