Pika

Pika, real name Higashi Mineko, began releasing electronic music in 2012 and has maintained consistent output with 57 releases through February 2024. The artist also performs under the alias Moon☥Mama and previously worked as drummer and vocalist in the group Afrirampo, where she was credited as either Pika or Pikacyū.

Pika produces peak time driving techno, tech house, and raw deep hypnotic techno that spans house music territory. Her releases appear on established labels including Drumcode, Hotflush Recordings, Kneaded Pains, and Trick, with her sound focusing on driving rhythms suitable for peak hours. The music maintains the intensity and hypnotic qualities characteristic of contemporary techno while incorporating tech house elements that bridge dancefloor accessibility with underground credibility.
