Positive Centre

Positive Centre is the experimental techno alias of British-born producer Mike Jefford, who began releasing music in 2014. After an extended period producing in Berlin, Jefford relocated to Lisbon where he continues operating under the Positive Centre moniker. In 2017, he established his own imprint In Silent Series to cultivate releases that develop his artistic vision.

Positive Centre's sound spans peak time driving techno, dub techno, and leftfield house and techno territories. His productions combine analog machines with tape and effects processing to create hypnotic and textural compositions that have found homes on respected labels including Stroboscopic Artefacts, Our Circula Sound, Weekend Circuit, and his own In Silent Series. The project's seven releases between 2014 and 2020 demonstrate a consistent focus on atmospheric, processed techno that balances dancefloor functionality with experimental textures.
