Powell

Oscar Powell operates under the moniker Powell as a British electronic musician and producer based in London. He co-founded Diagonal Records with Jaime Williams in 2011, establishing the label as a platform for experimental electronic music. Powell also created the Future Brown multimedia audio-visual platform and hosted the monthly Melon Magic show on NTS Radio from November 2013 to June 2019.

Powell's sound centers on peak time driving techno with experimental tendencies, spanning bass-heavy club music and abstract electronic compositions. His releases appear primarily on his own Diagonal Records imprint, with twelve releases documented since his debut in November 2011. The producer has evolved from dance floor-focused techno productions toward more conceptual and abstract electronic music in recent works, maintaining an approach that bridges aggressive club rhythms with avant-garde sensibilities.
