Pulshar

Pulshar is a Barcelona-based duo consisting of Pablo Bolivar and Sergio Sainz Vidal, who also records under the alias Aphro. The group formed in 2007 and released their debut EP "Babylon Fall Collection" that same year, which was later expanded into their full-length album "Brotherhood" on Phonobox in 2008. Since 2010, they have released five records on AvantRoots, with their most recent release appearing in 2018.

Pulshar produces deep house and dub techno with clear Jamaican influences and electronica elements. Their sound draws from the Rhythm & Sound dub techno tradition, incorporating free-floating melodies and soul sensibilities into downtempo and electronica compositions. The duo's releases on AvantRoots showcase their approach to dub techno, with tracks that have attracted remix work from artists like Echospace. Their music operates in the deeper, more meditative spectrum of electronic music, focusing on atmospheric textures and dub-influenced rhythms rather than peak-time dancefloor energy.
