Purple Disco Machine

Purple Disco Machine is the project of Tino Piontek, a house producer from Dresden, Germany who began his career as DJ Stereofunk in 2005 before adopting his current moniker in 2012. Born February 12, 1980, Piontek launched his first Purple Disco Machine release in October 2012 and has since built a catalog of 64 releases across major electronic music labels. He won the Grammy Award for Best Remix Recording in 2023 for his remix of Lizzo's "About Damn Time."

Purple Disco Machine produces disco-influenced house music that spans deep house and tech house territories, releasing on prominent labels including Defected, Sweat it Out!, Club Sweat, Columbia Local, and Kittball. His sound blends classic disco elements with contemporary house production, maintaining the groove-focused approach that has defined his output since 2012. Piontek's releases consistently target the dancefloor with mid-to-uptempo house rhythms, and his remix work has extended his reach into mainstream pop territories while maintaining his disco house foundation.
