Quantec

Quantec is the alias of German producer Sven Schienhammer, who began producing and remixing electronic music in 1995. He initially worked with hardware tools including Roland's MC-505 and TB-303 with effects processors, later incorporating software alongside his hardware setup. Schienhammer also releases music under the alias Monoaxial.

His sound spans dub techno, organic house, downtempo, peak-time driving techno, tech house, and dubstep across six releases between November 2009 and June 2012. Quantec's productions blend the analog warmth of his Roland hardware foundations with digital processing, creating atmospheric textures that work across both contemplative listening sessions and dancefloor contexts. His dub techno work emphasizes deep, echoing spaces and filtered progressions, while his techno productions deliver more driving rhythms suitable for peak-time DJ sets.
