Rills

Rills is the alias of Massimo Pisani, a producer from Turin who emerged in the Italian electronic music scene during the late 1990s. Pisani began his career as a DJ, drawing influence from Ron Hardy's house music and Jeff Mills' techno before transitioning into production. He became a resident DJ for Xplosiva, an Italian music organization, sharing lineups with artists including Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Akufen and Zip. Pisani released his first track under the Rills moniker in July 2010.

Rills produces deep house and minimal deep tech, releasing music exclusively on Visionquest between 2010 and 2020. His sound incorporates the house and techno influences from his DJ background, crafting tracks that sit in the deeper spectrum of house music. Over his decade-long recording period, Rills maintained a focused output with five releases on the Detroit-based label, demonstrating consistency in his minimal approach to production. His music appeals to DJs seeking deeper, more stripped-back house tracks suitable for extended sets.
