Rivet

Rivet is the project of Swedish producer Mika Adam Erik Hallbäck Vuorenpää, based in Malmö. He began releasing music in 2012 and operates under several aliases including Grovskopa, Grubi Kovsh, and Mika Hallbäck. Over his career spanning more than a decade, Rivet has released 13 tracks across labels including Point Of Departure, Midnight Shift, and the respected Editions Mego imprint, which released his debut album "On Feather and Wire" in 2020.

Rivet produces across multiple electronic genres, working primarily in peak time and driving techno, raw and hypnotic techno variations, melodic house and techno, electronica, and house. His releases on Editions Mego demonstrate a sound that incorporates industrial elements with atmospheric textures and body music influences. The music maintains a punk spirit while delivering the driving energy expected from his techno output, creating tracks suitable for both peak time DJ sets and more experimental electronic music contexts.
