Robot Koch

Robot Koch, real name Robert Koch, is a German producer from Kassel who currently operates from Los Angeles. Born in 1977, he established himself in the 2000s through electronic projects The Tape, The Tapes Vs RQM, and Jahcoozi, collaborating with Peters Elsewhere on the latter. He has released music under several aliases including The Tape and El Tajo, with his first documented release on Electrobuzz appearing in May 2014.

Robot Koch produces ambient, deep house, and electronica, spanning tempos from downtempo to dancefloor-ready. His releases appear on respected labels including Diynamic, monkeytown records, and Ki Records, with twelve releases documented through December 2025. His sound encompasses both contemplative ambient textures and groove-oriented deep house productions, making his catalog suitable for both listening sessions and club environments. The breadth of his label partnerships demonstrates his versatility across different electronic music contexts.
