About
ROCKETMAN operates as the electronic music project of Japanese comedian and musician Ryo Fukawa, born August 19, 1974, in Yokohama, Japan. Fukawa initially founded the project as Rockeman in 1998 alongside Yasuharu Konishi, before transitioning to a solo venture under the ROCKETMAN moniker in 2000 following Konishi's departure. The project began releasing electronic music through various underground labels in 2023, marking a shift from Fukawa's earlier musical endeavors.
ROCKETMAN produces peak-time driving techno across multiple electronic music labels including POINTZER0 Rec, Techgnosis Records, DENSE AUDIO, LW Recordings, and Alula Tunes. The project has released eight tracks since April 2023, focusing on high-energy techno designed for dancefloor impact. ROCKETMAN's output spans both single releases and full album formats, with releases scheduled through March 2026, indicating sustained activity within the underground techno scene.
