Roger Shah

Roger-Pierre Shah is a German DJ and producer from Esslingen am Neckar who has been active in electronic music since 1972. He operates under several aliases including DJ Shah, Raul Pablo Sanchez, and Airforce One. Shah co-founded the label Shah-Music with his brother Patrick Shah and owns Magic Island Records, which was formerly a subdivision of Shah-Music before becoming part of Black Hole Recordings.

Shah's music spans trance, progressive house, and melodic house & techno, with a particular focus on Balearic and melodic trance styles. His releases appear on major labels including Armada Electronic Elements, Armada Music, FSOE, and Black Hole Recordings. His productions typically feature orchestral elements and ambient textures, ranging from deep house grooves to uplifting trance anthems. Since 2017, Shah has maintained consistent output across these genres, with releases extending into 2025, demonstrating his evolution from traditional trance into more contemporary melodic house and techno territories.
