Roisin Murphy

Róisín Marie Murphy is an Irish singer and songwriter from Arklow, County Wicklow, who began her electronic music career as the lead vocalist of Moloko before launching her solo work. Born in 1973, she started releasing electronic music under her own name in 2012, working with producers including Matthew Herbert, Richard Barratt, David Morales, and Maurice Fulton. Murphy has released 29 tracks across labels including Skint Records, Play It Again Sam, The Vinyl Factory, Ninja Tune, and Crosstown Rebels.

Murphy's sound spans house, tech house, deep house, electronica, and indie dance, with her vocal-driven approach bridging pop sensibilities and underground electronic production.
