Roman Flügel

Roman Flügel is a German producer and DJ born in Darmstadt on May 5, 1970, who has been active since the early 1990s. He spent years as a Frankfurt resident before relocating to Berlin, and co-founded the now-defunct labels Ongaku Musik, Klang Elektronik, and Playhouse. Flügel currently operates Sister Midnight and releases music under several aliases including Eight Miles High, Roman IV, and ro70.

Flügel produces house and techno spanning from raw, hypnotic textures to peak time driving material, alongside electronica and indie dance tracks. His extensive catalog appears on Running Back, Sister Midnight, Phantasy Sound, Hypercolour, and Recognition, with releases dating from 2010 through 2025. His sound encompasses both the deep, hypnotic side of techno and higher-energy house productions, positioning him as a versatile artist capable of delivering both introspective listening material and dancefloor-focused tracks across multiple tempos and moods.
