Roosevelt

Roosevelt is the stage name of Marius Lauber, a German producer and DJ born in Viersen in 1990 and now based in Cologne. He began releasing music in 2012, establishing himself as a solo electronic artist who works across multiple dance music subgenres.

Roosevelt produces nu disco, indie dance, and deep house tracks that typically operate in mid-tempo ranges suitable for both peak-time and warm-up sets. His releases appear on City Slang, Sweat it Out!, and Defected, three labels that span the spectrum from indie-electronic crossover to underground house. His sound incorporates electronica and downtempo elements alongside dancefloor-focused material, creating tracks that work in both club environments and home listening contexts. Since 2012, Roosevelt has maintained consistent output across these genres while developing a signature approach that blends disco-influenced basslines with contemporary house production techniques.
