Rove Ranger is the alias of Jan Range, a techno DJ and producer from Stuttgart, Germany. He began releasing music in April 2020 and operates under the additional alias HISS. Range is a member of Vision Ekstase, which serves as both a collective and one of his primary release outlets alongside his solo work.

Rove Ranger produces raw, deep, and hypnotic techno alongside peak-time driving variants, spanning from ambient electronica to classic Detroit-influenced electro. His 15 releases appear across labels including Lobster Theremin, EarToGround Records, Vision Ekstase, 1Ø PILLS MATE, and Knotweed Records.
