About

Sailor is a British group that originated in London in 1973, formed by Georg Kajanus, Phil Pickett, Henry Marsh and Grant Serpell. The band released four albums between 1974 and 1977, producing hit singles "A Glass of Champagne," "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "One Drink Too Many" before breaking up in 1978. Pickett and Marsh reformed the group in 1980 with Gavin David and Virginia David for one album before dissolving again.

In electronic music, Sailor has released 21 tracks since 2013 across labels including METAPHYSICAL, Ultra, Big Beat Records, Skint Records and Click Records. Their sound spans melodic house & techno, deep house, and peak time driving techno, with releases continuing through 2022. The project represents a shift from their original pop rock foundation into electronic territory, maintaining activity across house and techno subgenres over nearly a decade of electronic music production.
