Samba

Samba is the dubstep project of Sam Bartlett, a London-based producer who began releasing music in 2016. He has issued five releases through the Electrobuzz catalog, establishing himself within the UK's underground bass music scene through his work with respected labels Deep Medi Musik and 1985 Music.

Samba produces 140 BPM dubstep that sits within the deep dubstep and grime spectrum, delivering the meditative, sub-heavy sound that Deep Medi Musik has become known for since its establishment by Mala. His releases on Deep Medi showcase the label's signature sparse, dub-influenced approach to dubstep, while his work with 1985 Music demonstrates his range within the broader bass music ecosystem. The music maintains the weighted, contemplative energy characteristic of the deep dubstep movement that emerged from South London's early 2010s scene.
