SAQIB, real name Saqib Ahmad Hassan, is a Danish producer and engineer who operates from Take A Bite Studio. He began releasing music in 2014 and previously worked as A&R Manager at Sony Music Entertainment Denmark A/S from 2011 to 2017. Hassan founded Kontra Agency in 2017 and has released music under the aliases Nice Cube and Black Shawarma.
His sound spans house, tech house, indie dance, and melodic house & techno across 17 releases. SAQIB releases on labels including Abracadabra Music, Kindisch, Get Physical Music, Maccabi House, and Desert Hearts Black. His productions lean toward the deeper, more melodic side of house music, fitting the aesthetic of labels known for sophisticated dancefloor material that works equally well in peak-time and after-hours settings.
