Secretsundaze

Secretsundaze is a DJ and production duo originally comprised of James Priestley and Giles Smith, who founded the Secretsundaze label and Secretsundaze Studios. The pair collaborated for 21 years before going their separate ways in May 2023, with James Priestley taking full creative control of the Secretsundaze project. The duo established their eponymous label as a platform for their releases and became known for their studio work alongside their DJ careers.

Secretsundaze produces house and deep house music, with releases spanning electronica and downtempo territories. Their discography includes releases on their own Secretsundaze imprint as well as respected labels including Peach Discs, Phonica Recordings, Live At Robert Johnson, and Warning. The project's output demonstrates a focus on deeper, more contemplative house music that moves between club-ready tracks and more ambient electronic compositions. Since the duo's split in 2023, the Secretsundaze name continues under Priestley's direction, maintaining the project's established sound palette across house and electronic music.
