Semtek

Benjamin Roth, known as Semtek, is a Cambridge-born electronic music producer who began releasing music in 2017. The UK artist operates under several aliases including Leamas and Chardonnay, and founded the influential Don't Be Afraid Records label while co-founding Inta and Lost Futures. Born in 1981, Semtek has established himself as both a producer and label curator within the UK electronic music scene.

Semtek's sound spans deep house, tech house, and raw techno, with releases appearing on Don't Be Afraid Records and other imprints. His productions range from hypnotic techno cuts to bass-heavy club tracks, demonstrating versatility across tempo ranges from deep house grooves to driving techno rhythms. Since his 2017 debut, Semtek has maintained consistent output with eight releases, including selections for compilation series like "Curation Best Of 2025," showcasing his ability to craft both dancefloor-focused tracks and deeper, more introspective house music.
