Sense IS

Sense IS is the alias of French producer Henri Fontaine, who also releases music under the name Njdeep. Fontaine began his journey with electronic music in the late 1980s through Chicago acid house, developing his sound through exposure to piano house and artists like Black Box and Steve "Silk" Hurley. His breakthrough moment came in 1992, and he has since established himself as a producer spanning multiple house subgenres.

His sound encompasses deep house, melodic house and techno, afro house, and organic house with downtempo influences. Sense IS releases across labels including Botanica, Harabe Lab, The Purr, and Bekool Records, with seven releases documented since May 2025. His productions blend the warmer, piano-driven elements of his early house influences with contemporary melodic and organic textures, creating tracks that work equally well in intimate club settings and deeper listening contexts.
