Shawn Christopher

Shawn Christopher is an American singer from Chicago who began her music career as a touring backing vocalist for R&B artist Chaka Khan from 1982 to 1985. She performed under the alias Jasmine Night during her time with My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and as a member of The Bomb Gang Girlz. Christopher transitioned into electronic music production in 2019, releasing her first house track in February of that year.

Christopher produces vocal house music that spans multiple subgenres including jackin house, nu disco, melodic house and Afro house. Her releases appear on established labels including Soulfuric Recordings, Big Love Music, Stickman Records and Glitterbox Recordings. Her tracks typically feature her own vocals over driving house rhythms, drawing from her decades of experience as a dance music vocalist. Since 2019, she has maintained consistent output with seven releases, demonstrating her evolution from R&B backing vocalist to house music producer and continuing through 2025.
