Shit Robot

Marcus Lambkin, known as Shit Robot, is an Irish electronic music producer born in Dublin in 1971. While DJing in New York in 2002, Lambkin met James Murphy, leading to his signing with DFA Records where he became part of the label's core roster. In 2004, Lambkin relocated to Germany and has maintained active production under the Shit Robot moniker since 2013, with releases spanning over a decade through 2025. He also produces under the alias 2 Cold and has released music on his own Me Me Me imprint.

Shit Robot's sound centers on house and nu disco, delivering club-ready tracks through his primary home at DFA Records alongside releases on Kitjen. His productions blend electronic elements with disco influences, maintaining the danceable energy characteristic of the DFA catalog. Since his 2013 debut release, Lambkin has built a catalog of 15 releases that range from driving house tracks to more experimental electronica, consistently working within mid to high-tempo ranges suited for peak-time DJ sets. His long-standing relationship with DFA Records positions him within the label's influential house and disco revival movement.
