Slugg is David Anthony Katz, an American electronic music producer who began releasing music in November 2022. The Cleveland-based artist also operates under the alias Dave Katz and has established connections with multiple Insomniac-affiliated imprints since entering the electronic music scene.

Slugg produces minimal house, tech house, and minimal/deep tech tracks that span from underground club sounds to more accessible dance/pop crossovers. His releases appear on Lisa's Kickback, Reecords, and several Insomniac Music Group subsidiaries including IN/Rotation and Factory 93 Records. The producer's sound operates within the 120-128 BPM range typical of minimal and tech house, delivering both stripped-back underground cuts and groove-focused tracks suitable for peak-time sets. Since 2022, Slugg has maintained consistent output with eight releases across these labels, establishing his presence in the American house music circuit.
