Smallpeople

Smallpeople is a German electronic music group comprising Julius Steinhoff, Abdeslam Hammouda, and Just von Ahlefeld. The trio began releasing music in 2011, with their debut appearing on Smallville Records in November of that year. Since formation, they have maintained a consistent output across multiple labels including their primary home at Smallville Records, alongside releases on closer and Fuck Reality.

The group produces deep house that sits comfortably in the 120-125 BPM range, characterized by warm analog textures and subtle percussion programming. Their sound draws heavily from classic house traditions while incorporating minimal techno elements, creating tracks suitable for both peak-time and after-hours sets. Smallpeople's releases on Smallville Records demonstrate their commitment to the label's signature stripped-back aesthetic, with their most recent output in 2019 showing continued refinement of their deep, rolling groove approach that has become their trademark across seven releases spanning eight years.
