Sola Contagio

Sola Contagio operates from Napoli, working under the aliases Mark Morris, Marco Ruoppolo, and Omega Code. The project emerged in 2023 with releases spanning multiple European labels including Affekt Recordings, Prophet, Tienmcateteng, Antiterra, and Van Czar Series. Since January 2023, Sola Contagio has maintained consistent output with seven releases documented through early 2026.

The sound centers on raw, deep, and hypnotic techno alongside peak-time driving variants. Releases on Prophet and Affekt Recordings showcase the heavier spectrum, while Tienmcateteng and Antiterra feature the more hypnotic elements. The production approach emphasizes stripped-down arrangements with focus on percussive intensity and atmospheric depth. Van Czar Series releases demonstrate the project's ability to shift between underground club focus and more experimental territory, maintaining the core techno framework while exploring different energy levels within the 130-140 BPM range.
