Soul II Soul is a London-based group that formed in 1988, led by producer and DJ Jazzie B alongside producer Nellee Hooper and instrumentalist Philip Daddae Harvey. The collective gained recognition through early singles "Fairplay" and "Feel Free" in the late 1980s, establishing themselves within London's underground dance scene. Members have included vocalists Caron Wheeler, Rose Windross, and Kym Mazelle, with Simon Law also contributing to the group's output.
The group produces house music spanning deep house, tech house, afro house, and jackin house styles. Their releases appear on Top Tracks of 2025, with their electronic output beginning in August 2024 and continuing through December 2025. Soul II Soul's sound incorporates elements from their R&B foundation while adapting to contemporary house music frameworks, blending deep grooves with rhythmic complexity suitable for both club floors and extended listening sessions.
