Spektre

Spektre is a British techno duo from Leeds comprising Paul Maddox and Richard Wakley. The pair founded their own label Respekt Recordings in late 2009, with their first release appearing in November 2009. Over nearly a decade of activity through 2018, Spektre released 78 tracks across multiple labels while maintaining their base operations from their home city.

Spektre produces peak time and driving techno alongside tech house and minimal deep tech, delivering high-energy tracks designed for primetime dancefloor moments. The duo releases material on Respekt Recordings, Phobiq, Elevate, Orange Recordings, and Static Music. Their sound operates in the driving techno spectrum with tech house crossover elements, focusing on peak-hour energy levels that cater to main room and festival environments. The duo performs as a live act, translating their studio productions into dynamic DJ and live performance sets.
