Spooky

Spooky is a UK techno duo consisting of Charlie May and Duncan Forbes, formed in London in 1990. The group emerged as one of the most prominent production outfits in the mid-1990s progressive house scene, gaining recognition for their anthem "Little Bullet" and their debut album "Gargantuan." After taking a hiatus for several years, they returned in 2002 with the single "Belong," while both Charlie May and Duncan Forbes continue pursuing solo productions alongside their collaborative work.

Their sound spans tech house, minimal deep tech, progressive house, and peak time driving techno, with a catalog that ranges from techno to breakbeat to acid and trance. Spooky has maintained activity from their first release in 2010 through 2025, releasing six tracks across these genres. Their music demonstrates the versatility that established their reputation in the progressive house movement of the 1990s, covering both the driving energy of peak time techno and the deeper, more minimal territories of contemporary electronic music.
