Star_Dub is the alias of Matthias Schildger, who began releasing electronic music in April 2016. Schildger operates under multiple aliases including M.S. and Matt Star, and runs the Dutch label Spacelunch (shortened to spclnch), which focuses on dub-influenced electronic music. The project has maintained consistent output with 11 releases spanning from 2016 to 2026.

Star_Dub's productions center on dub techno and peak time driving techno, with forays into raw, deep, and hypnotic techno variants. The project releases music across several respected labels including Rawax, Dubwax, Tiefenrausch, and Schildger's own spclnch imprint, alongside the self-titled Star Dub label. The sound palette extends into deep house territory, creating dub-infused tracks that work for both focused listening and dancefloor application. Schildger's approach to techno emphasizes the spacious, echo-heavy characteristics of dub music while maintaining the driving rhythms essential for peak time DJ sets.
