Superpitcher

Aksel Schaufler, known as Superpitcher, is a German producer and DJ based in Paris who has been active since 1996. He operates under several aliases including Boy Schaufler and Sir Positive, and has maintained a long-standing relationship with Cologne's Kompakt label. In 2011, Superpitcher co-founded the Hippie Dance label, which serves as an outlet for his own productions and collaborations. His discography includes the 2017 full-length album "The Golden Ravedays," described as an epic 12-chapter release.

Superpitcher's sound spans house, deep house, melodic house and techno, with occasional forays into electronica and downtempo territory. His releases appear on respected labels including Kompakt, Mule Musiq, Live At Robert Johnson, and Studio Barnhus, alongside his own Hippie Dance imprint. The music typically operates in the deeper, more melodic spectrum of house and techno, characterized by hypnotic grooves and atmospheric elements that work equally well in intimate club settings and larger festival environments. His production style has remained consistent over his career, focusing on tension-building arrangements and carefully crafted sound design that bridges the gap between cerebral listening music and functional dancefloor tracks.
