Sven Vath

Sven Väth, born October 26, 1964, in Obertshausen, Germany, began DJing at age 18 at Frankfurt's Dorian Gray club. The German producer co-founded influential labels Eye Q Records, Harthouse, and Cocoon Recordings, while also running clubs OMEN and Cocoon Club throughout his career. He has released music under aliases including R U Ready, Vaeth 3, and Sam Vision, establishing himself as one of Germany's most internationally recognized electronic music figures.

Väth's sound spans techno, melodic house & techno, and indie dance, with releases primarily appearing on his own Cocoon Recordings label and [PIAS] ÉLECTRONIQUE. His 31 releases since 2014 demonstrate a focus on peak time driving techno that maintains the energy levels necessary for his trademark vinyl-only marathon DJ sets. The producer's output balances hard-hitting techno with more melodic house elements, creating music designed for extended club sessions that reflect his decades of dancefloor experience.
