Tame Impala

Tame Impala is the psychedelic rock project of Kevin Parker from Australia that began releasing electronic music in 2013. The project originated as a studio endeavor but expanded to include touring members Julien Barbagallo, Jay Watson, Dominic Simper, and Nick Allbrook from 2007. Parker releases through Universal Music and has achieved five releases on electronic platforms between 2013 and 2025.

The project's electronic output spans techno, indie dance, dance/electro pop, and tech house, representing a significant departure from its psychedelic rock origins. Tame Impala's electronic releases feature peak time and driving techno elements alongside more accessible indie dance productions. The music maintains crossover appeal through dance/electro pop sensibilities while incorporating tech house rhythms, with recent releases appearing on Beatport's top 100 charts and Curation Best Of 2025 compilations.
