Taylan is the moniker of Turkish producer Taylan Cay, who began his DJ career in 1992 and started releasing tracks in 2001. Based in Turkey, Cay initially worked with Vienna's Couch Records and Universal Jazz Austria, releasing various 12-inch records before his album "Su" dropped in 2004. He has remixed tracks for James Brown, Orient Expression, Dublex Inc., The Philharmonics, and S.O.D.A., among others.
Since November 2023, Taylan has released 8 tracks across progressive house, melodic house & techno, organic house, Afro house, and dance pop genres. His releases appear on labels including Freegrant Music, Univack, Manual Music, Blue Magenta, and Nightcolours. The project represents a shift from Cay's earlier downtempo and jazz-influenced work toward club-oriented electronic music, spanning multiple house subgenres with releases scheduled through December 2025.
