Terry Hunter

Terry Hunter is a Chicago-based DJ, producer and record label executive who began his career in 1970. The American artist founded Vibe Music from 1993 to 1995 alongside Georgie Porgie and Maurice Joshua, later establishing Vinyl Soul from 1998 to 2004, T's Box in 2004, and Mirror Ball Recordings in 2019. Hunter also operates under the alias Headhunter and runs the production company T's Box Productions.

Hunter's sound spans house, soulful house, and dance/pop territories, with 13 releases documented since 2020 across multiple respected labels. His tracks appear on Mirror Ball Recordings, Faith, fabric Records, Reel People Music, and Top Tracks of 2025, showcasing his continued relevance in contemporary house music. The Chicago producer's output demonstrates the classic soulful house sensibilities rooted in his hometown's deep musical heritage, making his releases suitable for both peak-time and deeper house sets.
