The Advent

The Advent began in 1993 as a London-based techno duo featuring Cisco Ferreira and Colin McBean. The group split between 1998-1999, with Cisco Ferreira continuing the project as a solo act from London. Ferreira operates under several aliases including G Flame & Mr. G, The Subjective, and Manuel And Clive, maintaining The Advent as his primary techno outlet since 2011.

The Advent delivers peak time and driving techno alongside raw, deep, and hypnotic variants, often incorporating classic electro and Detroit influences. Ferreira releases on heavyweight labels including Klockworks, MORD, KD RAW, Cultivated Electronics, and Clergy, establishing credibility within underground techno circles. The project spans leftfield house territories while maintaining focus on dancefloor-oriented material, with 51 releases demonstrating consistent output across the harder spectrum of electronic music. The sound emphasizes the driving energy and raw textures that define contemporary European techno.
