The Ancient Moons

The Ancient Moons operates as a collective of artists headed by Damian Lazarus, the London-based electronic music producer and Crosstown Rebels label founder. The project launched in 2014 with its first release appearing on Crosstown Rebels in June of that year. Lazarus, who established himself in the UK electronic scene, uses The Ancient Moons as a vehicle for collaborative work within his label's roster.

The Ancient Moons produces deep house and tech house tracks that span from meditative grooves to peak-time driving techno. All 15 of their releases between 2014 and 2019 appeared exclusively on Crosstown Rebels, showcasing the project's role as a creative outlet within Lazarus's label ecosystem. Their sound encompasses traditional house structures alongside more aggressive techno elements, with tracks designed for both intimate club moments and main room energy. The collective's output ceased in 2019, with their five-year run establishing them as a consistent presence in Crosstown Rebels' catalog.
