The Bug

The Bug is the project of London-based electronic producer Kevin Richard Martin, who has operated under various aliases including DJ Dissector and Pressure. Martin established The Bug as his primary vehicle for exploring the intersection of dubstep, grime, and experimental electronic music. His releases have appeared on respected labels including Ninja Tune and Relapse Records, with documented releases spanning from 2014 to 2025.

The Bug's sound draws heavily from grime, hip-hop, ragga, dubstep and dub techno, creating dense, bass-heavy compositions that sit at the aggressive end of the electronic spectrum. His productions typically feature distorted sub-bass frequencies and incorporate elements from UK sound system culture.
