About

The Checkup is Raphael Pujol, a French DJ and producer currently based in Berlin, Germany. He launched his recording career in December 2014 and has since released 42 tracks across multiple electronic music labels. Pujol operates under his real name as an alias alongside The Checkup moniker.

His sound spans house, deep house, minimal/deep tech, tech house, and Afro house, with releases appearing on Large Music, Avotre, Heattraxx, Snatch! Records, and Kaoz Theory. The Checkup's productions blend the driving energy of tech house with the groove-focused elements of deep house and Afro house rhythms. His catalog demonstrates a progression from traditional house structures toward more minimal and tech-influenced arrangements, while maintaining the dancefloor functionality that defines his output across these respected underground labels.
