The Horrorist

The Horrorist is the moniker of American electronic musician Oliver Chesler, based in New York City. Chesler operates under several aliases including DJ Cybersnuff and DJ Silence, and founded the label Things To Come Records. He began his career in 1970 and gained early recognition by winning a contest that led to his appearance in the Depeche Mode documentary "101."

The Horrorist produces driving techno spanning peak time and hard techno territories, with releases also touching tech house. His sound draws from power noise, gabber, and electronic body music influences, creating high-energy tracks suited for prime time club slots.
