The Illustrious Blacks
About
The Illustrious Blacks is a duo consisting of Manchild Black and Monstah Black. The pair began releasing music in May 2025, with their first track appearing on Soul Clap Records. Since their debut, they have maintained a consistent output with 13 releases across multiple labels within their first year of activity.
Their sound spans house, deep house, nu disco, tech house, and raw techno territories. The duo releases music on Soul Clap Records, Rekids, and Sapiens Recordings, establishing connections across both underground house and techno circuits. Their productions move between the deeper, groove-oriented side of house music and harder-edged techno, demonstrating range across tempo and intensity levels. The Illustrious Blacks completed 2025 with releases continuing through December, maintaining momentum in both house and techno scenes.
