The Mountain People

The Mountain People is a Swiss electronic music duo composed of André Schmid, also known as Rozzo, and Philippe Egger, who performs under the alias Serafin. The group began releasing music in 2010 and operates their own Mountain People label, which has served as the primary outlet for their productions over the past decade and a half.

The duo produces deep house and minimal deep tech tracks that typically favor lower tempos and atmospheric textures over peak-time energy. Their releases appear exclusively on their own Mountain People imprint, giving them complete creative control over their output. Their sound has remained consistently focused on deeper, more introspective house music rather than evolving toward harder or more commercial styles. With eight releases spanning from 2010 to 2025, The Mountain People maintains a selective release schedule that prioritizes quality over quantity for DJs seeking refined, underground house selections.
