The Sixth Sense

The Sixth Sense operates as the project of Peter Joosten, a Dutch electronic music producer and DJ from Venlo, Netherlands, who relocated to Berlin. Originally formed as a duo with Erick van Rijswick, the project now functions as Joosten's solo venture since the partnership dissolved. He runs his own imprint The Sixth Sense // Akashic Records and previously operated another label. Joosten also produces under the aliases Aurora Project and Steve Falcon, maintaining multiple creative outlets within the electronic music sphere.

The Sixth Sense delivers raw, hypnotic techno alongside peak time driving variants, with releases spanning from deep techno to hard techno and classic electro influences. His music appears on labels including Children Of Tomorrow, MALöR Records, Konsequent, and ANAOH, with 22 releases documented since his first track in April 2023. The project incorporates elements of hard dance, hardcore, and neo rave into its harder productions, while maintaining a foundation in both raw underground techno and more accessible peak time formats. His sound ranges from deep, hypnotic grooves suitable for extended club sets to high-energy hard techno designed for festival main stages.
