The Warrior

The Warrior was a British NWOBHM band from Chesterfield. Formed 1979, The Warrior was unfortunately not a long lasting project. The band only released one album, "Let Battle Commence," in 1980 on Rainbow Sound and broke up shortly thereafter. The album featured many characteristics of the musicality which was about to envelop England with the NWOBHM movement, and is generally hailed my many reputable Metal historians as a rather solid underground release in NWOBHM.

The band was comprised of 5 members:

Dave Hewitt: Vocals

Steve Allsopp: Guitar

Mick Bannister: Guitar

Kev Barsby: Bass

Barry Bingham: Drums
