THEMBA (SA)

THEMBA is Themba Mbongeni Nkosi, a South African DJ and producer born December 6, 1983, in Mpumalanga. He operated under the alias Euphonik from 2003 to 2016 before adopting his first name as his artist moniker in 2017. Since beginning his releases under the THEMBA name in August 2018, he has put out 38 releases across major electronic music labels.

THEMBA produces Afro House, Melodic House & Techno, Tech House, and Deep House, with his sound drawing from South African musical traditions while fitting into international electronic music contexts. His releases appear on prominent labels including Armada Music, Knee Deep In Sound, Yoshitoshi Recordings, and herd. The tracks typically feature warm, melodic elements characteristic of Afro House combined with driving percussion suitable for peak-time DJ sets.
