Thomas P. Heckmann

Thomas Peter Heckmann is a German electronic music producer from Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, who began his career in 1991 with his first release as Exit 100 on Force Inc. Music Works. He founded Trope Recordings in 1993 and established its sub-label Acid Fuckers Unite (A.F.U.) in 1994, later launching Wavescape in 1998 and Sub~wave in 2000. Heckmann also releases music under the aliases Age, Drax, and Skydiver, demonstrating his versatility across different electronic music contexts.

His sound spans peak time driving techno, ambient electronica, downtempo, and house music, with releases appearing on labels including AFU Limited, Monnom Black, Dame Music, Voltage, and Molekül. Heckmann's production style encompasses both high-energy dancefloor material and more experimental ambient work, reflecting his long-standing involvement in Germany's electronic music scene. His discography shows consistent output from his 2011 return to releasing music through 2025, maintaining relevance across multiple decades of electronic music evolution.
