Three Drives

Three Drives is a Dutch trance group founded in 1997 by Erik de Koning and Ton van Empel, also known as DJ Ton T.B. The duo originated from the Netherlands and gained recognition for their track "Greece 2000." In June 2014, van Empel departed from the group, leaving de Koning to continue the project.

The group's sound has evolved significantly from their trance origins, now focusing on melodic house and techno, organic house, downtempo, and Afro house. Three Drives releases on Armada Music and has maintained consistent output since returning to production in 2022. Their current productions span a range of tempos and moods, from the deeper, organic textures of downtempo to the rhythmic patterns of Afro house, representing a substantial departure from their original trance sound into more contemporary electronic music territories.
