Tiefschwarz

Tiefschwarz is a German group from Stuttgart, formed in 1996 by brothers Alexander Schwarz and Sebastian Schwarz alongside Peter Hoff. The trio founded their own label Souvenir Music, which serves as their primary creative outlet. They also established the Nau imprint, expanding their label operations beyond their core Souvenir releases. Since their first documented release in 2009, they have maintained consistent output with 37 releases spanning over 15 years of production.

Their sound centers on tech house and deep house, with regular excursions into peak time techno and broader electronic territories. Tiefschwarz releases primarily through their own Souvenir Music imprint, while also appearing on respected labels including Watergate Records and the dig dis! Series. Their productions typically operate in the deeper, more hypnotic spectrum of house music, balancing groove-heavy basslines with intricate percussion work. The group's approach has remained rooted in the German electronic tradition while incorporating contemporary tech house elements, making their tracks suitable for both intimate club environments and larger dancefloor settings.
